That would be a great reason...theoretically..... but somehow I'm having difficulty believing that their intentions were so noble...

I find that a lot more likely than the alternative which is that everyone is spending their time just to spite someone that they don't even know.

But in general, people on this site tend to strongly dislike when someone tries to sell an item at a perceived unreasonable price. You will find that on many threads. It's nothing personal.

  I understand it may not be such a compelling deal but on the other hand if someone was looking to get one and lives in Lakewood and wants to save a few bucks this might be something they would be interested in.... if I would have been offered this a week before my trip I would have taken it.... I  would way sooner buy a used one from someone on ddf than ebay.
