Chai or Friendly. Call before going because they seem to run out every day.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

This applies here as well.

let's say you're right that the odds of more than a few infections is low, the danger of schools being shut down is not

Seems likely my shul will have a separate Covid minyan in the tent- meaning for people who have Covid or are in quarantine. (We have at least 10 that qualify at the moment. )

Sterling forest / Wyndham area is putting together one as well.

I was curious about this. If severity of covid depends on viral load, while someone is already fighting covid are they at further risk if exposed to another person who has covid?

My laymen's guess is no; but I have no idea. And if the answer is no, then covid people should be indoors, and non-covid outdoors...Why is everyone doing it the other way?

If the answer is yes, then this type minyan probably shouldn't exist, even outdoors.

I think the bigger question is on the people who are in quarantine due to exposure. Is exposing them further a good idea? I think these minyanim need to remember that exposed does not equal infected.

maybe in a large tent there is room for the quarantiners to spread out in a safer manner than indoors (away from the positives? )

I'm sure there are ways to do it, but why? Making a minyan with people who are currently infected and anyone else is just a bad idea. Unless someone is confirmed positive, they should be considered "anyone else." I think there are probably enough confirmed positives and enough people in quarantine to make separate minyanim.

Smart move would be to keep the positives away from other people..... maybe one tent  for positives and another for people who need to quarantine.

I don't know what they will end up doing, this is just playing out , as some of these positives are from today I believe.

I'm also curious about this. Obviously, it makes no sense to have exposed people there. But I'm curious about people who tested positive.

Shouldn't they stay at home to protect others?

Why? So that they can daven with a minyan on RH!

Of course that should only be if it is done safely, but if there are ways to do it then why shouldn't they find them? It may need a lot of space, but if it is outdoor and ventilated and they also stay apart and wear masks or whatever else why should it be an issue?

Because they will inevitably interact with people. Those who tested positive should stay home.

It can be done. There have been serious SD minyanim the entire time why shouldn't those be possible?

On the way there and back. On the way out. People have to be trusted not to interact which is difficult once you're in a public setting.

Because serious SD isn’t 100% foolproof even if it is fully observed.
