I got lost somewhere in the middle over there, but there is one thing you are definitely mistaken about, especially in NJ.

You have your numbers wrong. Once you get past day 27, you become a state enemy, a despised millionaire. Then the taxes start to escalate. You may be better off decline payments after you get to day 27, maybe even earlier.

The answer always has been yes and no obviously if you don't vaccinate. Then that kind of answer doesn't appeal to you.

However better understanding of how the virus spreads etc means that preventive action can be taken.

Likewise, better treatment and care.

The summer was a great opportunity to let the virus actually die out, instead, you brought it back.

There were tens of millions of infections worldwide during the summer months. You can blame a lot of things on Lakewood, but blaming them for covid not dying out is a bit of a stretch.

We're within spitting distance of an effective vaccine, according to most mainstream medical consensus, whether it's 2 months or 8 months. There is light at the end of the tunnel, על פי דרך הטבע. More like a tunnel at the end of the tunnel. Assuming something makes it out of stage three, there’s a good chance it will be closer to 50% efficacy and with logistical and acceptance issue it will be a long time before the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel when covid is a thing of the textbooks is realized, likely into 2022 and perhaps beyond.

I don't know why you would think that. The CDC is a Federal agency and they can and will investigate if they deem it necessary or if local government asks for their assistance.
