Can someone help me understand the purpose of the news blackout in Lakewood. I personally know of a few people in the hospital, including a 30 something year old. There has to be many, many more. But there is complete radio silence. I find this to be a dangerous game because I keep hearing from people "it's not so bad this time around" and they are using the lack of known hospitalizations as a data point when choosing to not take anything too seriously.

Just heard of a 26 year old pregnant (7 months) woman who is in the ICU and was almost ventilated (she's been stabilized for now) and almost had an emergency c-section. This happened this week.

I'm assuming that the state sees hospitalization numbers and they are the ones who will or will not close mosdos. What is bugging me is that there is obviously a concerted effort to keep the hamon am in the dark which is causing some people to make very poor decisions. Isn't in the best interests of keeping mosdos open to have people take basic precautions?

I have 2 very close young relatives who have called Hatzalah multiple times over the last week. The 29 year old relative has serious pneumonia and doctors fear a blood clot as well.

Not necessarily but there does seem to be a quick discharge for many so numbers of hospitalized are not climbing that fast.

I just said that nobody is looking to hide anything. Its just that families feel no point of publicizing that members are in the family. simple.
as of today there was 50 lakewood residents in the hospital
