Not mentioned is those that took rapids and were positive were prompted to take the PCR test as well. And at that point why not? Only thing that can happen is you find out it was a false positive and don't need to quarantine.

Just spoke to a local doctor: There have been 13 deaths so far. There were 2 additional admissions last week. There are still several cases a day in our community, but it's definitely at the tail end.

If an outbreak is not leading to increased hospitalizations it's no longer an outbreak. IOW it's a non-story.

Drastic drops may be highly unusual but that certainly seems to be what happened in Lakewood.

Are they the ones who decided to try to transfer R’ W. zatzal out of the hospital he was in where he was doing ok? Over the objections of all of the mainstream organizations?

This incident was extremely personal and hurtful for many. I think it would be wise to not discuss this topic in a public forum, or at least to do so without writing the names. (It's Google searchable...)

Saliva tests are PCR tests. AFAIK, there are only two types of tests, PCR and antigen; rapids are antigen and the rest are PCR.

Also, they'd better be counted in official statistics, the saliva tests are coming direct from the government.

Can anyone confirm? My elderly parents in Lakewood make major lifestyle decisions based on these numbers. Are they reliable?

They should ask their doctors what precautions they should still be taking. High-risk people should not take the numbers as a guide for their behavior.

I really don’t believe in washing dirty laundry in public. I do believe that there is a distinction between that, and an ongoing situation of  individuals promoting their own mehalech, which is at odds with the organizations the tzibbur knows and trusts, in the guise of a legitimate non partisan mainstream service. It’s one thing when these individuals decide to undermine the schools testing mehalech with fear tactics. It’s another when there is actual pikuach nefesh involved.
