Maybe the reason for people asking. Why isn't their simple answer "Ask a doctor you trust"?

We've been through this numerous times throughout Covid. Some people's approach is to have da'as Torah speak to the relevant doctors and have them decide what people should ultimately do.

A pity such a letter (if it does end up getting published) doesn’t disclose the medical professionals consulted, who the guidance does/doesn’t apply to (e.g. exceptions for those who are high-risk), and/or the rationale for their conclusion.

To anyone who relies on DT for medical decisions, all of that is irrelevant. Those who want that info likely aren't basing their decision on the letter.

There should at least be something to counter this. There must be some undecideds who are listening to every VN telling of how many died & are suffering due to the vaccine. Don’t you think this coming letter will have any effect ?

I'm on record here as saying we need frum publications debunking and combating FUD. While I think it's important, I'm not overly optimistic that it will be very effective.

I don't think it's only one side publishing their advice. I think that side gets a lion's share of the attention, though.

I don't think it needs to be done by an actual publication like a magazine. Things get around just fine without the media's help.

Has to be at least as compelling as FUD, which has an inherent advantage due to negativity bias (I guess you can argue that anti-FUD tickles that same bias).

The ones I've seen were mainly out of Israel, along with a few in certain communities in the US. Specific to Lakewood, I don't know that there have been any letters, and I don't know that the way things are set up there would allow for it. (Basing that on comments from here, not any personal knowledge.)
