Has to be at least as compelling as FUD, which has an inherent advantage due to negativity bias (I guess you can argue that anti-FUD tickles that same bias).

It can be done the same way FUD is effective. Put a lot of big names on there from a wide array of hashkafos, explain things with both simple and scientific language, and make sure there are a plethora of sources with links. IME, that's where the "intellectuals" who buy the FUD get sucked in. The people who buy FUD from social media... there's not much hope there.

Very true. Possibly because they feel that letters have little effect. People who want to know, ask.

Maybe the reason for people asking. Why isn't their simple answer "Ask a doctor you trust"?

I blame it in part on the Chemedization of health care. Many no longer have a personal doctor that they trust. When they don't feel well they see one out of two dozen MDs, PAs or NPs.

I think they also create a lot of fear of the vaccine and people even if they are for vaccines. if they hear scary messages enough it makes them not comfortable taking it.

This is actually a real concept that has been warped by the anti vaxxers.
In short shedding can happen in a live-attenuated vaccine. (A vaccine contains an actual weakened virus.)
In such a case the virus multiplies in the body and can spread to other people in its weakened state.

True, afaik mRNA are not live-attenuated vaccines. Which makes the whole thing so insane.
I can understand a person saying it’s a new vaccine with new technology being a little worried, I may not agree but there is some logic to that.

We've been through this numerous times throughout Covid. Some people's approach is to have da'as Torah speak to the relevant doctors and have them decide what people should ultimately do.

Throughout Covid it was regarding the question of shul/school closures and the like which I agree that DT should be consulted. Vaccines otoh it's ridiculous that DT is even mentioned when speaking of roshei yeshivos. Obviously consulting a Rav who is a real medical expert can be a plus but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

I simply cannot make piece with the fact that the conspiracy theorists drafted these big names. I also wonder why it's predominantly the Litvish big names who are taking a stance on vaccines.

It's the job of a Rav to take the information given by the experts and give a psak based on what the Torah would say to do given those facts.. If a Rav is advising based on BS, the responsibility falls squarely on that Rav.
