Does it work that way?
If @ExGingi says so, it must

You're positive. You can get pricked by getting more antibody tests. No need for vaccine.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying.

Are you saying that I can hold off on a vaccine because I have antibodies?

At this rate, in a month or two you won't have any antibodies. It's already pretty low.

That's what it sounds like he's saying, but I'd recommend you ask a medical professional you trust.

Anyone heard of the Lakewood Covid Vaad? I was told a parent in my kids school tested positive for Covid and consulted the Covid Vaad and was told that there was no need to quarantine if she was asymptomatic (she was symptomatic) and that any kids who were symptom free could go to school regardless. 3 of her kids subsequently came back from school with fever...

Don't know about them, but the Covid Sanhedrin holds that the kid cannot go to school. I may change my mind, though, depending on the number of days that elapsed since the positive test.

It's probably the Vaad that put out a couple of letters last Rosh Hashana (R' Uri Deutsch, R' C M Roth etc.). This story is far from an isolated incident.

Ridiculous. I can hear not testing asymptomatic even with exposure, but testing positive and sending to school is crazy.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Outside your immediate circle, there are many Rabbanim who who hold the same.

Relying on non medical professionals (read: rabbonim) for medical advice is the theme of this pandemic. Why is anyone still surprised?

It's an ethical and moral question. Doctors aren't qualified to answer those.

To get other people sick? How is there any heter for  deliberately making other people sick? Because if you mingle with the public when you are positive, you are definitely making other people sick.

Why is it even a Shayla to ask a Rav if there's symptoms and positive test? Maybe just to ask how many days to stay home?

If it was 100% certain that leaving your home after testing positive would infect someone else then I don’t think anyone would argue. But thats not the case, if that was the case entire schools, shuls etc would be infected by now (you can use 08701 as your lab).

So the entire equation is, was and will be how much risk tolerance we should have. Certainly a difficult matter.

The concept of asking competent rabbanim questions which relate to seemingly non-halachic matters is not new. The concept of seeing different rulings in different communities is also not new.

I also think that some argue about your first sentence, even if it's guaranteed.

Wondering why this thread is so quiet. From what I hear and see around town, Covid cases are exploding, even in previously infected/vaxxed groups (along with flu cases).
