Which people graciously offered their bathrooms to a bunch of sick people?
Read above, but someone offered their basement which was not being used. And I'm sure they're going to clean and disinfect it very well

I'm not hearing much of people having a hard time breathing which I'd guess was the number one reason for all the hatzalah calls. And 1st time around I was hearing tons of people laid up in bed, chills, nausea etc
All my workmates who got it now were in bed with chills. So I'm not sure why you think it's different.

Of the The 20 or so people that I know (first and second hand) who have it, only a few of them were laid up. As well as many conversations I overheard at urgent cares and over Rosh Hashanah at this minyan. I was hearing a tremendous amount of stories of people that got tested Just "because" and were surprised that they had it .
Regardless my main point was the trouble breathing, which I haven't heard at all

Those were after a buildup of a month of cases back in March.

From what I understand, it’s back to being the number 1 reason for hatzalah calls.

Has there been a single repeat case?

How many of them are real trouble breathing and how many are just overly worried?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Since we’re comparing to the first wave, I’d say anxiety is probably 10% of what it was then.

We still don't know how many of the people calling Hatzalah are really having trouble breathing. I know an older person who tested positive and BH isn't having trouble breathing but was hyperventilating. He didn't call hatzalah, but the anxiety definitely is there, especially among older people.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Word on the street is that Dr Leibowitz said now is definitely milder than in March. Can anyone confirm?

The quote I heard second hand from him a couple of weeks ago was (paraphrasing), "the severity only seems more mild because it's mainly a younger demographic this time".

Halevai. I will try to find out.

I can confirm he was saying this as late as early last week. Perhaps his opinion has since changed.

According to Dr Fenster (yesterday) there is zero evidence whatsoever that the strain in Lakewood has changed at all, only that there are still far fewer cases and the vast majority have been of the lower risk demographic.

I didn't say that. @yuneeq says COVID is the #1 reason for hatzalah calls, I wanted to know if there are so many real trouble breathing calls or they're mostly anxiety.

I understood him as saying that shortness of breath was and is the leading reason for COVID Hatzalah calls, regardless of the denominator.

As I have said before, people had a choice between full weddings and keeping schools open. They chose the full weddings. It is very much on their cheshbon that all of these schools have classes shutting down and may get worse at the rate things are going. Where things will head between now and YK is anyone's guess.

Even if you are not at all concerned about the virus itself you should be concerned about additional govt restrictions.
