We still don't know how many of the people calling Hatzalah are really having trouble breathing. I know an older person who tested positive and BH isn't having trouble breathing but was hyperventilating. He didn't call hatzalah, but the anxiety definitely is there, especially among older people.

You can't say back in march let's say 50% of the calls were people really having difficulty breathing, therefore now it's definitely more than 50%.

If we were able to see into the future and we saw that no one actually had trouble breathing there would still be people calling hatzalah. The fact that there are calls doesn't show us that there is a significant number of people having difficulty breathing.

@avromie7 - I have a question for you. When you look at what is happening across Europe and Israel now (second wave - lockdown) , how do you reconcile that with your general arguments made on this forum (sorry for picking on you). Do you think that because as of now the death toll/rate in Europe is much lower then it was in February we don't have to be concerned about a second wave here in the tri-state area? Do you think for whatever reason we can't have a second wave here? Or do you think why worry about something before it actually happens? All of the above, none of the above, other reasons?

Word on the street is that Dr Leibowitz said now is definitely milder than in March. Can anyone confirm?

UPDATE:

I asked Dr. Liebowitz, and he said not only didn’t he say that, but he actually believes it’s the exact same strain.

That is stronger than the language that Dr. Fenster used to me yesterday.
