I don't know why you would think that. The CDC is a Federal agency and they can and will investigate if they deem it necessary or if local government asks for their assistance.

What is pathetic is that this is not a 5 year timeline at this point. We're within spitting distance of an effective vaccine, according to most mainstream medical consensus, whether it's 2 months or 8 months. There is light at the end of the tunnel, על פי דרך הטבע. The inability to maintain a sense of proportion and control ourselves for 6 months is a bit sad.

A vaccine being distributed does not mean COVID ceasing to exist. It does mean abandoning the vast majority of precautions people are being asked to keep, and probably will stop the need to implement extreme temporary measures every so often altogether.

I think a vaccine is coming a lot faster than the end of 2021.. End of this year is almost certainly going to happen. You do realize there are currently 2 vaccines in use by major world powers already as we speak?

This does not mean COVID will be completely over. But it will completely change the way we approach it.

There were tens of millions of infections worldwide during the summer months. You can blame a lot of things on Lakewood, but blaming them for covid not dying out is a bit of a stretch.

(Obviously, כל מה שאירע בעולם הוא רק בשביל ישראל, so in that sense it's our fault, but in the secular explanation it's not such a grounded assertion.)

The concern is real, but the risk seems to be relatively low for now. How long it will stay low... we'll find out after it happens.
