The city of Buffalo had a 5.5 percent positive rate a couple weeks ago and no one was freaking out.

It wasn’t masks only when reporters were around. There was big push to wear masks in Brooklyn neighborhoods and from what I’ve heard there was big improvements.

So now positive rate does matter?

Of course there is a basis. But you can't deny that there is hate. Unfortunately, this will give much fuel to the haters. They are not stupid and they know how people have been flouting the rules. Sadly, there will still be those who just chalk it up to anti semitism, and see no reason to correct our behavior....

Aren't some clinics frum owned? Sounds like a reach.

Like I've said - if half as much effort went into virus prevention as shutdown prevention, we might get somewhere.

And schools. Now they don't mind closing for 2 weeks. I know schools who were trying to pursued parents to not test till after YK so that the school could stay open till sukkos. (Obviously they told the family to stay home, but for the schools sake they shouldn't test).

Like far rockaway? Everyone's wearing masks, still many out door minyanim, and every school tried as hard as they could, yet there still is a nice uptick. They got nowhere.
