46 years old. Covid.
https://www.thelakewoodscoop.com/news/2020/09/petirah-of-r-moshe-harari-zl.html

Anybody know any more details? Sounds like there may have been more to this story than standard covid (I don’t mean to minimize standard covid but from what I’ve heard something else may have played a role…)

Like far rockaway? Everyone's wearing masks, still many out door minyanim, and every school tried as hard as they could, yet there still is a nice uptick. They got nowhere.
Masking doesn't help when you already had the exposure.

Also, schools didn't close proactively. There were already dozens of cases in schools before they closed.

He had corona symptoms a couple weeks ago that seemingly went away, passed away from heart attack. I’d rather not get into specifics in a public forum.

Covid is known to cause heart complications over a medium term.

Cardiac arrest as listed as the cause of death for my grandmother as well, I think @yuneeq is saying it was COVID but official cause of death was a heart attack.

Hmm. Methinks you haven’t been to Far Rockaway recently.

Is this the new tactic? Blame it on Trump? We’re just conservatives in a liberal land?

Does this mean they're seeing a significant number of reinfections?

The response of every good politician is to not take responsibility, but blame someone else. " Orange Man Bad" is the flavor of the past 4 years.

We know they’re seeing more than is being reported. The question is only how many.

I now know 2 people who had legitimate symptoms in March (smell/taste/cough/fever), tested positive for antibodies, and now have it again. One donated plasma previously. One is my brother’s chavrusa, one is a guy from the Arlington neighborhood.

Both say the illness is worse this time, as last time they weren’t sick in bed like they are this time.

Maybe enough that they're not willing to take responsibility for assuming immunity, without it necessarily being enough to sound the alarms.

Weird, I know an older than 60, high risk individual that was being extremely careful, tested positive for antibodies on Erev YK and Dr Cohen personally told that she can therefore go to shul on YK with a mask even  though indoors and certainly no SD.

If there are current antibodies then that person is certainly less likely to be susceptible to reinfection

AFAIK there haven't been any reinfections for anyone who currently has antibodies, so if she tested positive for antibodies the day before we know she still has antibodies. There is no guarantee that anyone who tested positive for antibodies 4 months ago still has any.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It's almost like the medical establishment was right all along that we don't know how long antibodies last for. And less than 2 weeks ago, I was called out for saying that's a "fringe medical option".

Did you read the letter?
Clearly says whether tested positive for antibodies or not should only daven outdoors, hence I found it weird.

Sorry, @S209 and @avromie7 explained it better. The letter is referring to people who have tested for antibodies in the past, with no way of knowing whether they still have antibodies. Testing positive for antibodies on erev YK itself cuts the risk down tremendously, making your story actually make a lot of sense.
