Is that you moving the goalposts to fatalism now? We're all gonna get it anyway, so why bother? The icing on the cake here is that because of people like you, their sacrifice and hard work is less effective. And you have the gall to get snarky about it? Low blow...
Not everything is goalpost moving, I'm looking at facts that weren't available to us previously. Talk about getting snarky...
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Which facts are you looking at?
It’s not just Lakewood now. Today’s statewide numbers were over 1300 for the first time since May. The counties with some of the highest numbers are Ocean, Mounmouth, Passaic, and Bergen. Not looking good.
This as well as a DDFer who lives in North Jersey mentioned on WA that there is evidence of an increase in cases recently.

While this hasn't been confirmed, @S209 already used to as "evidence", which us what I was responding to

What did "compliance" get them? A few weeks?
Do you not see that there is a pattern where the uptick is coming from? When the virus becomes more prevalent it becomes more difficult to avoid. Now NJ is set to have an uphill battle to contain the virus again. Masks and SD help, but when a virus is everywhere only a lockdown is effective enough. Hopefully as a state we never get to that again.

If there would not be an explosion due to noncompliance, there would be no “inevitable” uptick in places that indeed complied. I predict we will soon see the effects of this explosion spreading elsewhere. Hopefully the measures currently in place will indeed work to keep the caseload low enough to stamp out quickly.

Are you seriously blaming the outbreak in NY/NJ squarely on the orthodox jews?

Those aren't new facts. Those are results. Consequences. By using them as the new facts, you are effectively moving the goalposts.

Short of a lockdown, the state will be seeing 10k cases a day by Thanksgiving.

WOW, just WOW. Do you honestly think if everyone in the frum community followed all the guidelines there would never be another outbreak? I'm genuinely shocked to hear that from you.

I would not be shocked if the entire outbreak could be traced back to weddings.

Not only do I believe that, I’m confident it’s true.

Not that there would never be any type of uptick or outbreak ever. But that this outbreak can be traced back directly to our community flaunting all precautions, especially at weddings.

I believe this. There would be cases, but not an outbreak. And in the rest of NJ, there probably would be an outbreak. Maybe it would have happened just little bit later. But that doesn't mean we need to be the ones who start it.

Has anyone got their results from Bikur Cholim testing from Wednesday?
What are the chances I get results before YT?

Not only did @S209 say it here but it was stated in this letter from the Moetzes that indeed this is the perception. Can it be proven that our laxity did or didn't cause/will cause another outbreak? No. But perception is reality and the damage has already been done and has caused a massive Chilul Hashem.

Why was no letter issued weeks ago when the weddings were in full swing and not a mask to be seen in many Shuls?

If we really cared about our Yeshiva's and Shuls we would have been acting differently over the last several months.

As mentioned here many times - if you wait till we have a problem your already too late.
