It’s a 1-2 hour outpatient procedure (unless they feel you need to be admitted when they examine you prior to the infusion)

Another neighbor now has COVID. There were 500 cases in Lakewood over the last week, and there are some concerns locally about the South Africa strain and people with antibodies getting reinfected.

A major girls school is starting to implement a more stringent mask policy again.

Okay, so a puzzling development. My wife, who had symptoms a day or two before me (but never lost her smell), took a test a day after me and it just came back - negative. I was sure she had covid as well.

Could it be that she is already over it, and that's why it's coming back negative? Or would the virus still be picked up in the days and weeks after having it?

Naturally, I think she should retest, and get an antibody test as well. Any other advice?

The county sent out letters saying my other 3 kids need to isolate due to each testing positive, but it turns out that was a mistake.

There was a call with the State today, and they're putting their focus on Lakewood and want to see increased testing. This is due to the consistent rise in cases over the past couple of weeks.

The positive rate is around 10%; ~25 positives per day in the frum community. There are currently 12 members of the community hospitalized; a 32 year old woman in her 8th month is intubated and had an emergency c-section.

Chemed is running low on vaccines and is requesting more from the state.
