Right, and now that you know she is positive, you won't be close to them at all, let alone in the same room. This is not to say that quarantine is fun. It sucks!

By asymptomatic do we mean pre-symptomatic? Or are there people who spread the virus and never get symptoms? I was under the impression that there is no such thing as asymptomatice spread.

I’m not sure you’re right. It does appear that people who remain asymptomatic throughout infect people at a lower rate (though there’s no way to know if she’ll remain asymptomatic, and if she doesn’t, it’s certain that presymptomatic people infect people at a very high rate).
