This is false!! The nursing homes and everyone knew how contagious it was (remember the whole country was shut down March to June — no school — ring a bell??) and nursing homes didn’t want the COVID patients back from the hospitals!

If it kills their other patients it ruins their reputations and dries up their revenues (they get paid per day)!! Cuomo insisted they accept these patients back from hospitals and the expected happened it spread in nursing homes more than anywhere.

There are some reasons why frum Jews sometimes have a harder time abiding by COVID restrictions than the average non-Jew, and it’s not disregard for others.

These include
— larger family size unit / larger extended family / more involvement with that extended family / eg stronger involvement between grandparents and grandchildren
— less complete trust in science and a belief in G-d/ fate
— less media consumption
— greater level of social interaction with community
— a culture that celebrates life events as a community
— stronger allegiance to president Trump who was a COVID “denier/minimizer”
— a conviction that doing the right thing religiously will protect them from a bad outcome (sometimes misapplied).
— fewer forms of acceptable/permitted entertainment/distraction, that can make the isolation more tolerable

Of course this is 100% false. As someone in the business, I could tell you first hand how we fought it tooth and nail. I could show you dozens of my emails, recorded phone calls, team meetings and communication to the state, associations, attorneys, residents, families, and even news organizations. We saw where this was going and the potential damage. And we suspected that WE would be held responsible for it and therefore made every effort to document everything I did to show we protested it. But haters will be haters. No point in really responding here.

The CDC says 10 days but explicitly says 14 days is ideal and the only reason they say 10 is bc people wouldn't listen Imagine if one was told meat isn't really Kosher but they can be meikel because people won't listen if they say it's assur... Endangering people is infinitely worse than eating trief.

I think I am fairly well aware of your opinions insofar as you disclose them here that we should be more Covid cautious, particularly with weddings, and I respect them.

The opinion of yours which I think blinded you in misreading my original post was your belief that bias proves error. It seems to me you often think proving somebody is biased is proving they're wrong, whereas it doesn't actually prove that.

That would only apply regarding creating a new rule and not when a pre-existing rule already applies.

In my experience, Friendly, Chai and MyCare all returned results within 72 hours.  But obviously, past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

of course not, but when the interpretation of an event is not indicative either. Typically these have been you trying to show something and me saying that it only shows it based on your biases.  It canstill be true but isn't proven..
