New Chassidish Community Being Planned in Tampa

Sorry for not being clear. I was referring to the possibility that Torah U'Mesorah and Chofetz Chaim are planning to each open up a new kollel, which obviously costs $$. During a recent visit, my sense was that the community could definitely benefit from an influx of new blood, but currently lacks the infrastructure, money, and critical mass to support multiple new kollelim where none has ever existed, unless the sponsoring organizations are committing seed money to get them off the ground for the initial period, or that perhaps the 2 reputed new communities are really only one.

Ah. I would assume that the Kollel is not being sponsored by the community, but by others so there is a viable, affordable community option.

Breakfast place? When I was there a year ago there weren't any real restaurants of any kind, only a small takeout with a limited menu and no seating that worked out of Chabad's kitchen (https://davidsglattkosherdeli.com/).

There was a small grocery in St. Petersburg called Jo-el's (https://www.stpetedeli.com/), but they have limited hours (close every day at 1 or 2). They also have a small deli, but find out of the hashgacha is up to your standards if you're planning to use it.

If this is accurate than it's amazing. But don't forget that the people behind the Tempa development also "said" that they have over 100 applications. (Fun fact: they are not giving back deposits, and they have 14 families living there... But again, I really hope this does work out!)

If you want to go ahead, you need to put down a $5,000 deposit, $500 is nonrefundable (going for lawyer fees, etc) the rest will go into an escrow account.
Once they have 100 deposits, they will coordinate a local event, where you will meet your potential neighbors, and you will be able to decide if you want to make the move or not.
As of yesterday, they already received 30 deposits

They estimate to begin selling homes around Sep 15,( you have to purchase your lot and get a mortgage (Guess like a construction loan) before they begin building it. Once home sales begin, you have 2 weeks to back out and have your $4500 refund, at the same time, once you signed and got your mortgage, the $4500 deposit will be refunded.

Not sure about the current situation but when I was there last August, there was delicious breakfast in the shul. Every imaginable type of fresh bread, rolls -(dunno what I ate, but it was heavenly), eggs any stlyle with any topping, fresh veggies, lots of spreads, coffee, OJ etc  Basic stuff but insanely fresh.
