Will/Did The Upgrade Clear Master Thread

1) Is it possible to move up on the list, or only down as people with higher status check in?
2) If you're with a companion who doesn't have status, will you be back to back numbers or companion will be much lower down?

1. Assuming it's T-24, new people will be added to the list potentially ahead of you as they check in.
2. Not sure. But I think they use the highest priority, assuming it's a paid ticket

can only move down on the list unless upgrades clear..

Usually they'll put companion right after the pax with status although I've seen quite a few times that the companion was at the bottom.

Thanks, so my companion is a good 3-4 places away from me. But anyway, if there are only 4 open seats, and I'm #5, that means I have no shot, right?

I wouldn't say no shot but not likely.
Just had a 1k upgrade clear on EWR-TLV 6 unsold seat
Client was #7 and he was upgraded after boarding

depends on route. If there are 4 seats open another seat can open, not likely but I wouldn't say highly doubt it lol

Is the airport upgrade list still messed up? For example tomorrow UA85 has pax ZAK, G. before WAL, P. on the Premium list but WAL, P is way before him on the Polaris list.
