Ace/Fox/Economy Rental Car Advice
« on: July 21, 2020, 01:46:42 PM »
Hi,

I want to rent a car from JFK and Ace/Fox/Economy all offer rates that are hundreds of dollars less then the major companies.

Anyone have any experience with these companies? Should I avoid them? Thanks

Just rented with Economy in MCO no issues. Though they had this annoying policy of verifying that I have car insurance so took longer than I would have liked.

can i use this thread to ask about not a car rental per se, but a website linked from kayak- Car Rental 8 its called. i dont even know who id be renting from. it says rent from big brands you know , for less. how does that work? looking to rent from the airport in denver and its listed on kayak as a "surprise agency"

and the contact info is just an email address.. ???
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

Is that a policy of theirs (FOX), requiring verification of car insurance coverage?
Does that apply even if you have credit card that covers car rental insurance?

CC covers damage to the car, not liability. Your regular us insurance policy covers you for liability wherever you are in the US. The ones that ask for proof are just doing it to hopefully con a few more people into paying for insurance. I had that at Easirent MCO as well, had prepared since I read about that in advance, so was not an issue.

in most states the car rental company is required by law to carry minimum liability insurance and it's already included in the rate most of the time. VA & NH are the only states that don't require iirc

Anyone with recent experience with Fox in FLL? They are hundreds less then any of the big ones
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

I've never rented from FLL but I have in another location and while significantly cheaper, there is absolutely 0 customer service so have to hope nothing goes wrong
