I have used both iphone app and online. They didnt say exactly but reminded its for actual items. They also mentioned that they may reduce limit to $100 which they didnt.

Did you try downloading it in your app store and signing up within the app instead of their web site? You might not need an invite if you use that method.

You are correct unless they changed it recently.

Make sure you know the person if you go the invite route. If the person sending you the invite ever gets banned your account will also be on the hit list.
