You may be asked to provide id info. If you oblige you should be fine.

Download the app to your phone.  You should be able to create a new account from your phone without needing an invite (at least you used to be able to....)

No luck. It kept hanging.

+1
For pc, you can try this. . .
Don't want to post my own link as it contains my name, but here is an invitation from @venmo https://venmo.com/i/iqram.D.bby YG- lemme know if this works for you.

This worked - thanks!

if you are paying 2k i would be a bit worried, maybe split it up into two payments titled first and second installment.

he probably means FR risk. sofar AP is a known risk. as far as Venmo, I haven't seen it reported here yet, probably will take time for them to notice.

in other news; I had a venmo charge ($900+  'recurring' monthly) flagged today for fraud. of course I cleared it. just hoping it's not the 1st step to FR flag.

WOW! They're getting sophisticated.... Got a msg: sorry we can accept your credit card because that card was already used by another user (do you know who?) anyone had this?
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

if your card was used by another user your issues will be bigger then just venmo.

Chase flagged a random payment today for me for the first time ever. Cleared it with no issues. I did the same amounts in the past many times with no problems.

You can’t register the same CC # to more than one account. What bigger issues are you talking about?

unless the other venmo user was you, you should check your CC statement for unauthorized charges, 'cause someone's got your card (stolen)

...but AU's also have the same CC# with most issuers. So if Venmo is using this reason it is bogus.

try telling them that, it might just work (especially if you have ID to verify the AU, as well as a actual card to send pic of)

It will not help. I was just pointing out how most of the reasons they give are bogus.

I just realized that only 3 credit cards can be added to venmo account. Does anyone has experience to solve this problem? Thanks!
