I've had Jenny unfreeze but no Dan.  I imagine the frozen Peyton email is completely automated whereas the unfreeze is from whomever is on support duty.

My account was frozen. I sent the information they requested and they gave me a credit limit of $1200.00 with a warning.

Please be advised that we still reserve the right to lower your limit or freeze
your account should your transaction history raise any flags in our system, and
your account will be under special review to screen for suspicious activity.
Matching large payments being exchanged between users is indicative of activity
against our Terms and Conditions.  Exchanging payments at the maximum of your
credit limit also may indicate suspicious transactions.

To fully take advantage of Venmo, please transfer in funds from your bank
account!  There are no limits on the amount of money you can pay others with
funds in your Venmo balance or transferred in from your bank.  Please see the
following article for some helpful instructions on how to add and verify your
bank account:

We all knew this was going to come to an end sometime...

So, what's changing?
Until May 1st,
•   You can continue using Venmo the way you do now.
•   You can opt to switch to bank payments at any time by following a few simple steps. Click here to switch now.
Starting May 1st for you (and starting today for new users),
•   To continue using Venmo for free, you must switch to bank payments.
•   If you still want to use your credit card, you can set it as your funding source, but you will be charged 3% to cover credit card processing fees.
When you're signing up your friends, you should know that they can send their first $500 from their credit card for free.
Why the change?
At Venmo, we've always wanted payments between friends to be free. Until now, the only way we could offer fast and simple payments was with credit cards. So, we've been happily covering credit card processing fees for you while working hard to perfect the bank payment experience. We've spent months building this new funding option, and today we are excited to launch the best bank payment experience available.

We've spent months building this new funding option, and today we are excited to launch the best bank payment experience available.

Users who joined Venmo prior to March 16, 2012 are subject to the same transactional limits described here(link) for transactions funded by bank accounts and credit cards. However, in appreciation for being an early adopter of Venmo, we are happy to extend to you an increased allowance for fee-free credit card transactions!

While your allowance may vary based on transaction history and the completeness of your Venmo profile, we offer a maximum of $2,000 worth of credit card-funded transactions without a fee each calendar month. This allowance resets on the first of every month, and applies to the amount your spend on all your credit cards in total, not just on an individual card.

If you would like to make payments totaling more than $2,000 each month, you may change your Funding Source to your bank account (read more about how to do that here), or transfer in money from your bank account to your Venmo balance (instructions can be found here). Payments funded by your Venmo balance are always free and unlimited!

Quote
If you have made less than $500 in credit card-funded transactions throughout the lifetime of your Venmo account, you will still be able to make free credit card transactions until you have reached the $500 threshold.

Is too late to open a bunch of accounts? Does  the above quote only apply to early adopters?

This sounds confusing, does this mean some venmo accounts can charge on CC with out a charge after May 1.

All accounts after May1 will be charged a fee when a CC is used.

If they wouldnt be about to do that sooner or later I would suspect them of somthing fishy, that business didnt make any sense for me they should run free for such a long time. However, thank you, venmo! It was a great pleasure doing business with you, and for now: GOOD BEY: (in a few months we'll wake up to headlines in TechCrunch: "After A Extraordinary Successful Beginning, Start-Up Venmo Mysteriously Filled For Bankruptcy!" but we know the reason...)
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Update: confirmed, it is not per month - it is $500 account for the life of the account.
