The Orrington
Very quiet lobby with lots of street parking, free after 9 pm
Bar closes at 9, though

The Silversmith Hotel
Depending on when you get there, you can get one of the big booths with very big couches. If they aren't availablle, there's still lots of other couches and quiet corners.

Trump Tower
You'll want to book a parking spot in their garage on SpotHero before you go.
Bar is closed in the morning, but restaurant on 16 will serve you drinks on the couches outside.

The Signature Room at the 95th
Pros:Great view of the city. As a party of two you'll probably be sitting directly by the window.
Cons: They don't accept reservations, so depending on the time (especially around sunset) there may be a line to enter. They card  from 7PM and on.

NYC- Common Ground NYC in Manhattan (Google it)

Detroit - Greenfield Village, Dave & Busters, Coach Insignia (Upscale Lounge 72nd floor in GM HQ's), Townsend Hotel, Lathrup Village Park (empty and off the beaten track)
