The Signature Room at the 95th
Pros:Great view of the city. As a party of two you'll probably be sitting directly by the window.
Cons: They don't accept reservations, so depending on the time (especially around sunset) there may be a line to enter. They card  from 7PM and on.

Fair point. Well, no one was home except for my father in a different room (I arranged it to be like that) and it was just the first 45 minutes of a normal more conventional date. It came about because she had heard that I make a mean cholent and really wanted to see it being made. So it really was more of a "date-activity" and not so much a family meeting/chill. But yeah, looking back, it's kind of crazy...  :)

I never got that argument. If you're still dating the girl when it's ready, great, make a pit stop on another date to pick them up. If not, who cares, you didn't spend the money because you were desperate for a beautiful piece of painted pottery, you did it for the activity of it.

I did this on my 5th date with my wife, and it saved me big time. She had told the shadchan after date #4 (New Roc City - she did not enjoy that) that she didn't think it was going anywhere. But good old pottery painting turned it around for me :D. (Obviously it wasn't the activity itself, but it created the environment necessary to progress I suppose).

I am glad I never did pottery painting on a date, because:

I got married anyway,
I'd rather eat out for that cost,
I'd rather break pottery than paint it. And that's also cheaper
