It is just for breaking loose stuck screws. You hit it with a hammer. You want to use it originally before the screw head gets messed up.
Interesting, is their any advantage over a cordless impact drill / driver?

Not sure as I had this forever and it works. If you have a hammer impact that should work.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Just to be clear, hammer and impact are two different things, for regular screws impact works great, hammer (which uses a hammer motion) is great for drilling in stone and tiles etc..

Hammer impact IMHO would work better on screws. My impact wrench would just strip a lot of screw heads.

Nice tool. Probably worth picking one up with the Grease to remove those stuck bolts and screws.
