Good Desktop Deal-looking

my desktop is on the blink and due for a replacement.
looking for something medium capacity; heavy home usage (not professional, graphics etc. but heavy browsing, word processing, media, multiple USB devices, etc.) hopefully cheap (>$4-500 or even cheaper if possible?)
any good deals out there? suggestions?
do the dell coupon shtick still work? for cheaper items also?
