I use them all the time, don't know if they are still open (the one on 41 I think). I used them to switch from my grandfathered plan to a family plan while keeping my 25% discount

Hello. Bumping this since my Sprint Katana DLX charging port seems to be coming loose (hard to get it to charge) and I may want to try a Centro (I want to keep my plan so staying with non-smartphone for now).

Does the "later" (2008) improved Centro with 128mb come in any colors besides "olive" and "rose"? Someone way back in this thread said they thought the newer one also came in black but I didn't see any confirmation of that. I would much rather have black than those other colors but would like to know if it comes in black before going through the headache of trying to find out from every ebay seller whether their black phone is the later one.

Also, I have the Vision unlimited data package ($10/month) for the Katana. Can I get full internet access on the Centro with that plan?

Wow that was fast thanks! Too bad - can't believe they would only have the updated version in, let's face it, fairly feminine colors.  You responded as I was adding the second question so I'll repeat it here:

The green actually grew on me, not feminine at all IMHO.

Yes, you would get unlimited internet with that plan.  You can even tether it as a modem with the right software.
I have brand new sealed 2nd gen green centros for $99 shipped if you'd like or you try your luck on ebay for less.

Thanks again. And thanks for the offer but I just snagged one off ebay for a good price. Already bought another Katana DLX so I guess that will be the backup, assuming I like the Centro better (I am pretty fond of the DLX, I like the flip, very reliable, plus it actually has some sentimental value at this point.)

Yes, the 2nd gen centro is much more stable, faster, and the build quality is improved.

ftfy. Which happens to be the official reason given when the law was created.(they were not going to publicly announce that "the phone companies said to make it illegal so we listned to them") That reason doesn't apply anymore bec. as soon as both phones are active at the same time the company will shut down the line.

It was a retention plan, which I've had for years. It's the main reason I still have a dumb phone, although I am getting closer to being tempted to join the masses soon.
