I've been saying for months that there should not be sports this year.

This is not an I told you so situation. There is too much money on the line to not even try.
Interesting to see a disproportionate number of Patriots opting out of this season. Any hypotheses why?
It's dangerous. The games are boring without fans. The stats are meaningless and corrupted.Championships will be forever tainted. But yes, obviously with money on the line, they will try anyway.
Au contraire. There is too much money on the line to try. If players getting sick leads to them retiring earlier or playing at a lower level for years to come, why would you gamble the future of your sport for quick cash? You need vets more than ever, because the college kids coming in will have missed a major developmental year, so the quality of rookies in all sports will be diminished.
You are way overthinking this.
I would bet that baseball is saving hundreds of lives across the country, and lowering crime. People are sooooo bored and now they have something to do, instead of being on the streets looking to make trouble.
Erm, baseball?
I believe so. At least to an extent. Basketball even more.
