Certainly not limited to you, but 3 months ago you saw something and assumed it would stay that way forever. Now you see something else and change your assumption.

Things have a way of swinging back to how they were over time. Just ask a dieter what happens over time after they lose weight.

I haven't seen anything compelling to tell me things will be massively different in the future from what they were in the past because of COVID19.

1918 Spanish flu was far more deadly than COVID19 so far. What did that change long term other than all of the casualties? It was mostly an afterthought until now.

Couldn't sum it up better. We have a human tendency to be consumed by whatever crisis is happening at the time and not see that around the bend things are much brighter.
IMO life will resume exactly as it were pre COVID. If there are any changes, they will be things we choose to do differently because we recognize the benefits of said changes ( For example, many companies are much more comfortable with employees working remotely.)

From the vote it's clear that it's going to be a discussion for a while, not to the same degree it is now obviously, but the conspiracies will come just like people talk still talk about 9/11. But at some point it's going to turn into "regular" news and that point is hopefully going to be long after this thread is closed. I think personally it should be moved to back burner once all (or most) countries relieve their restrictions.

With the amount of underhanded moves that were done by politicians and countries. I really don't blame anyone for having wacky thoughts about this whole thing.

My opinion this board goes dormant Q4 2021, even if a vaccine is released in Q1.

I think there will be changes due to Corona that are not necessarily bad or good, but just different. For example - working from home will be a much more available option for a long time to come. We may find that people will choose to be outdoors more often for dining, parties, etc - I'm definitely loving the option. How about homeschooling? Nursing homes might not be so popular. Moving out of cities as others have mentioned - already hearing many people have moved to Deal for good, their schools are overflowing with new students. We will still be videoconferencing 10x more than we did pre-corona. I've seen many practical and clever uses of Zoom that I believe will definitely stick.

I was about to ping a certain member who often talks about his grandchildren, but I don't want to start up with anyone, especially not someone 75 years older than me.
