Waze or GPS only device
« on: July 29, 2020, 11:24:20 AM »
There are not a lot of inexpensive options for a Kosher Waze or GPS device. I have seen some people resell these devices for more then $300+

For this reason today I am releasing my Kosher Waze or GPS service. It's only $49.99 1 time cost. You bring the Samsung device and I will turn it into a Waze only or GPS only device. You can buy a nice Samsung tracfone for about $100 from Target, Walmart, or Bestbuy and I can turn your device remotely for you.

That's the killer as once you're paying for service you might as well use it for text and talk.

And I would assume you have to find your own service provider.

redpocket has a plan for $60/yr, I think it's 500MB a month, which has been enough for Waze for me.

you dont need service get a device that has GPS, download offline maps, however you wont have traffic, but you'll get directions where you need to go, if you have Wifi at your starting point its even better

K-Waze Kosher waze gps using a Samsung Galaxy S7 - 32GB - Black .

The phone looks exactly like the picture with no other apps other than the waze app without any loopholes etc ...

K-waze is TAG Recommended !

You will need to purchase a data plan from Red pocket ... We recommend the 500mb of data a month plan foot $5 a month/this is the direct link to the plan  https://www.ebay.com/itm/133058476404

Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.

(We dont offically accept returns to avoid being used as a gemach... however we will accept returns if you message us within 24 hours of receving your k-waze device )

Am I missing something?

Why not just buy a cheap Garmin or Tom Tom? Just for the Waze benefits (cops / cameras)?

Cops and cameras are part of it, I've had my life saved more than once by being alerted to objects on the road (no lights on the highway, once was an aluminum ladder, the other time an unidentified LARGE object), animals nearby warning is also very helpful.

But beyond that, the accurate traffic patterns and re-routing is unbeatable, and to be honest, the maps themselves and directions are just a whole lot better than Garmin. To the point where I can't use my old garmin anymore, even as I try to get another Waze device, because I just get annoyed at it. It's like a "you had one job" meme.

100% agreed in reference to a Garmin, but I wouldn't say unbeatable, Google maps is more often then not better at routing traffic and giving more accurate ETAs, not to mention way more accurate directions and nicer UI.
(By accurate I mean it tells you which lane to be in and very timely instructions)

100% agree that google maps is better in terms of UI, Lane guidance.
Google maps tends to take you the most direct way while waze will (sometimes) take you off the interstate, through a bunch of city streets and back on the highway 3 exits later, ahead of the traffic.

They are both Google products, I wish they would add all the features to both apps.
