try making a reservation on there website, it might show up as a stay even if you dont stay there

enter a fake credit card into your account so they cant charge you http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ will give you a fake number u can use
will try
Do you really think it will work? that means that i will get points for a night when i am not actually staying there?

Also the link you gave me deos not provide expiration for the cc number
thanks

it should have one but you can just make up an expiration it has worked before for me with different hotel programs it doesn't hurt to try.

So you tried merging the accounts and they wouldn't let?

Try telling them you opened up your old account with your middle name and the new one with the credit card with your first name and see if they'll merge the points from the old account into the new account with the credit card attached to it?
GENIOS
DAN! IT WORKED!!!
you rock!!! I love these forums..... thanks dan, and thank you everyone else.
I just transfered them out to aa. Two years later i got my miles transfered from Continental to AA. Now i will have almost a quarter million miles.... 75 % are flown miles. time to start racking up.

I will post when they clear into my aa account.

Anyone have a recent experience with transferring points out of Amtrak?  Last I knew rail tickets are fully refundable.  I'm needing a work around for the $200 travel.  We don't travel by rail unless on the east coast on a rare occassion and then commuter rail.  I've already transferred some miles out of Continental to Amtrak.  Trying to re-qualify for Companion Pass on Southwest via Choice.

Thanks.

No, the ratios for amtrak>choice and choice>southwest were lowered and you need an amtrak cc, a paid for amtrak ticket, and a choice cc or a choice stay.

what about the ratios for other airlines?

whats the big deal to get an amtrack and choice cc and a cheap ticket - could be worth it...

Well thanks for the input.  I've bought my Amtrak ticket and will give an update with my results.  Worst case scenario is I'll get my miles in hotel points.  For what I'm trying to achieve this works fine still.  My 50,000 Continental miles will turn into  37.5 Rapid Rewards pts or 2.34 Southwest Rapid Rewards tickets.  So a net gain.

Thanks.
