Patis is still amazing. Could be they didn't need someone of his caliber.

The strawberry crossiant is one of the best bakery items I've ever had.

I love the strawberry cheesecake... But I wouldn't call Patis amazing, its Ok. Maybe because I only eat it delivered to Brooklyn for the most part.
