A friend of mine had a baby a little over a week ago. On Shabbos he told me that the baby is still in the NICU but his wife came home on Friday. When I expressed surprise that she had stayed in the hospital for so long, he said that she tested positive for COVID-19 when she came in for labor and delivery.
Since the baby had to go to the NICU, the mother who tested positive (totally asymptomatic, they both had a loss of taste and smell around Purim) wasn't allowed into the NICU. Husband got a local COVID-19 test that came back negative, but still wasn't allowed into the NICU because he was in close contact with his wife just before she tested positive.
Anecdotally he said that based on what his wife said, it seemed like in the hospital they pushed the test swab much further up her nose than other swabs.
