King of Tokyo Origins is on sale at Target for $14.99 (reg. $27.99), and a current
Target Circle promotion takes 25% off a toy or children's book, making it $11.24.
https://www.target.com/p/king-of-tokyo-origins-game/-/A-89219655

The game is about Japanese-movie-style giant monsters, and you win by either scoring a certain number of points or being
the last monster standing (players can get knocked out of the game). Turns mostly consist of Yahtzee-style dice-rolling.

The "Origins" box is for 2-4 players (though 2-player isn't really a good idea) while the more expensive standard box
supports up to 6. You can play with up to 6 using Origins if players 5 and 6 are OK with not having official pieces
(though I think a rules change that applies while more than 4 players remain isn't included in the Origins rulebook).

(Variant rule if you want more card action: Give players an energy
cube after each of their turns on which they don't buy a card.)

Would anyone here care to play an online board/card game? Asynchronous play is possible - that is, we don't
have to be online at the same time (sticking to 2 players is advisable to avoid having such games take forever).

Yes, if my filter allows it.

$10.97 ($4.97 + $6 shipping - currently $18.77 on Amazon) for Illusion:
https://www.gamenerdz.com/illusion
Simple game that revolves around trying to correctly assess what percentage of the color in an image is a given color.
(More images on Amazon.)

This is back:
On sale at Amazon for $16(/$40) - Raiders of the North Sea: Viking edition.
The "Viking Edition" is the same as the standard except that some metal and wood pieces are replaced by cardboard.

A game in which each player leads a clan of Vikings, building up their strength to be able to raid various locations. The main mechanism is that there public action spaces which you use to do things. On most turns, you'll put down a worker in one space and do that space's action, then take a worker from another space and do that action as well. (Workers aren't associated with players; any player can use any worker.) Some workers are better than others - IIRC, some spaces can only be used by certain kinds of workers or give a bonus to better workers.

The Sherlock Holmes games have some of the best moments in gaming. The gameplay is similar to a CYOA, with logical reasoning, and investigation skills. The games are part of the 3 for 2 sale.

(Sorry about this post being a bit of a stylistic mess sometimes, and that I can't guarantee that
these prices are still current. Also, I don't know just how good a deal some of these are.
Some of the things without descriptions are ones I've posted about before - some.)

Various Black Friday sales:

https://startycoon.com/store
Sci-fi themed light economic/engine-building game.
Base game $24.50 and free shipping in the US.

MiniatureMarket.com (shipping is a flat $6 unless you hit a threshold that these do not add up to):
Combo Fighter Arcade - $4
^More-elaborate-rock-paper-scissors fighting game. (This is an old version of the game and is probably
incompatible with the more recent Plotmaker Games material, but if this is all you buy, that doesn't matter.)

Earth - $30
https://www.miniaturemarket.com/earth-iug011.html

[Friday only] Azul: Master Chocolatier - $20
https://www.miniaturemarket.com/nmg60110en.html
This is mostly the original Azul rethemed to be about chocolate.
(There are optional extra rules on the other side of the factory tiles.)

Sugar Blast - $6
https://www.miniaturemarket.com/cmnsub001.html
A match-3 style game for the tabletop. Pieces appear to be decent-quality plastic.
May be too short and/or random. That may be fixable by disallowing combos after the
first refill. You might also want to play an equal number of turns rather than the
official instant-win rule. (You might also want to remove the 1-of-each-color goal.)

Catherine: Cities of the Tsarina - $10
https://www.miniaturemarket.com/csgcct421.html
Hard to describe briefly, though not very complicated. It's a mostly-cards
game with a big map. Don't get if you require your games to look good.

Amazon:

As posted to DDMS, Scrabble is $10.

Project L $26

Splendor - $18.49 (I don’t know if you'll get the new or old edition - only the art is different)
($20 at Target.)

Azul - $19.99 (The sequels are also on sale, with a lower discount.)
(Also at Target.)

Heat: Pedal to the Metal - $50
Deck-management racing game. A popular recent release.

Star Wars Deck-Building Game - $16.48 or so
2-player deck-building game. Star Wars-themed, though I'd say only a few
cards do anything particularly thematic (Jawa and Death Star stand out).

Camel Up (2nd ed.) - $20

Medical Mysteries: NYC Emergency Room - $13.99
(That's a change from the typical murder-mystery theme of such be-the-detective products.)
(Also at Target for just slightly more.)

Llamaland $25
Involves quintomino tiles getting layered on top of each other.

Jamaica (new ed.) $30

Memoir '44 - $41.50
Light World War II game for 2 players.

Ticket to Ride Legacy - $80.50

Century: Golem Edition - $30

Target:

Various mainstream things:
Rummikub - $10
Blokus $9.99
Stratego $9.99
Zingo $9.99
Throw Throw Burrito / Zombie Burrito - $12.50
Pokemon Labyrinth $12.50 (Not the glow-in-the-dark version)
Qwirkle $12.49

==
Somewhere between games and toys:
Pickleball Blast Game $7.49

[Loopin' Louie remake] Bluey Keepy Uppy $9.99
^Someone on BGG - "the balloon is a bit heavy compared to the counter weight and
hits aren't as floaty as they should be compared to other games of this type"

Gravity Maze (ThinkFun, 1-player physical puzzles) $12.50
==

{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
Party games:
Poetry for Neanderthals $9.99
^Get your teammates to guess the right thing using only one-syllable words.

Decrypto $12.50
^Requires writing. Try to have your teammates know which word your clue relates to
while not being obvious enough that the other team can figure it out (only your team
knows your word list, but the other team can start working out what relates to what).

Herd Mentality $14 (reg $19)
^Try to answer the same way as the majority of players. Requires writing.

Wavelength $17.50 - Get your teammates to guess the right number by saying
something you'd put at that number on a spectrum dictated by a card.

HITSTER $9.99 (App required. Listen to song snippets* and try to put them into the correct
place in a timeline; thus requires some knowledge of secular music trends to be much fun.)
*Apparently you may need to disconnect from Spotify Premium or the songs will start from the beginning.

You Can't Say Ummm $9.99
Describe odd things to your teammates without hesitating.
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}

Medical Mysteries: NYC Emergency Room $14.29 ($13.99 at Amazon)
See Amazon description.

Disney Lorcana - Gateway - $12.50
(Note: This product is intended to teach a trading card game.)

Garden Nation - $20 (66.6% off)
(If you don't like it, I can probably help you resell it for close to that much.)

Trekking The National Parks $24.99

The Quacks of Quedlinburg - 25 (/45)

Azul 20 (/32)
^matched at Amz

Splendor 20 (/32)
$18.49 at Amz

Younger-players-oriented cooperative games:
Castle Panic - $14.98
Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls $15

River Valley Glassworks - $20

Survive the Island $15

Everdell 37.50 (Don't know how good a deal this is. Gameplay is pretty similar to what I described for Everdell Farshore upthread.)

Kids had a blast with TTR on Shabbos, their first time playing (I played with 10YO and 8YO). Thanks @Randomex for simplified rules, which made it exceedingly easy to teach al regel achas (I barely looked at the rulebook). Even the 8YO who lost by a mile had a great time, and the 10YO would've beat me if not for picking two destination cards close to the endgame that required just a few more routes. (To be fair, it was also my first time playing it.) My wife got a great nap out of it, which was the true benefit. Keep in mind they needed help with the unfamiliar English city names (they barely read English) so everyone basically knew what everyone else's destination cards were.  ;D

My nephews have a blast playing and they dont read english at all.
They just match up where the destinations are on the map.
(then theres the 11yo who thinks the point of the game is to collect all the jokers/wildcards  ;D)

Amazon:

Camel Up - $13.33 after coupon
Azul - $13.33 after coupon

So Clover - $13.33 after coupon (Its starting price isn't as high, though.)
^This involves writing and is a word-association game.

======================

Target:
Spot It! - $2.99 (Speed game. A few game modes, but it's always about finding the symbol that appears on each of 2 cards.)
Planted $11.24 (Description upthread.)
Carcassonne - $21.49
^All also part of a B2G1-free sale, so you can probably buy 3 and cancel 2 to get a further 33% off.
