Well, the argument might be that it does a lot for them, in eliminating false hopes.

Possibly much more than that. It is very clear that this was able to come about due to the beligerence of Iran. Part of that beligerence is their sponsorship of Palestinian terror. This has shown how their aligning with Iran has not advanced but rather hurt their cause in that others not aligned with Iran have no interest in waiting for the pie-in-the-sky deal and will just leave them in the dust isolated with Iran to their own detriment. The big question is if they realized that it is not UAE who betrayed them but they who betrayed the UAE.

I think the point is it did nothing for the Palestinian issue.

I think that is not true but it's irrelevant because that was not the goal of this agreement. Why are they bringing up the Palestinians in a discussion regarding an Israel-UAE deal?

No, but that's the delusion that the foreign policy establishment has been working under for 50 years. Bringing peace to the region will solve the Israel/Palestine issue.

Nope. Having all the Arab countries make peace with Israel will push the process forward. The second would be the Europeans stopping to fund the Palestinian "leaders" lavish lifestyles while they keep their people in poverty and send their teenagers to kill women and children.

When the embassy was moved many here said it would help solve this issue. The same thing is being said now. The embassy issue did not help solve the issue. We will see if this helps solve the issue. As an outsider looking in a wonder who really is being delusional.

Ok, and it’s still definitely possible that it will solve the Palestinian issue. Once Israel makes peace with Arab nations in the region, the Palestinians will see the world ignoring them and that there is no point in holding out for delusional demands. For 70 years they tried peace talks  and didn’t get anywhere, I’m not sure why this way needs to produce instant results.

First, I highly doubt anyone said that the act of moving the embassy to Jerusalem was going to cause immediate peace in the region. Second, you can make the argument that the US moving their embassy sent a clear message that  Israel was done having its arm twisted in pursuit of unrealistic agreements. You can say that this normalization is a continuation of that theme, where countries are realizing that they need to move on with the business of diplomatic relations with a regional power, and not let the Palestinian dispute interfere with their own countries' best interests.

Not saying instant results, time will tell. The embassy move did nothing to help the peace process so far.

That's almost like saying that teaching a child the ABC does nothing to help him learn literature. It's a required step, but things just take time.

There will be no real way of tracing a future peace agreement back to either the embassy move or the agreement with other states anyhow. It will remain speculation.
