If I had to guess based on the wording, I would say this is Indonesia (or Pakistan).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Definitely doesn't sound like SA, that's for sure (obviously still doesn't rule out a deal with them).

Pakistan would be interesting, they're the only atomic Muslim country.

You might need to update it again, as this is not only the Middle East (who considers Morroco part of the Middle East?).

And besides, the ME is far from achieving peace. This is more about the State of Israel and Muslim countries establishing official direct realtions.

I said peace in the Middle East, not peace in KJ :P

Anyway, I've been sitting on a pile of points dedicated to an Israel trip since last spring. As soon as Israel allows me in, I'm off iy"h.

Now a headline such as "Breaking News: Both Satmar factions recognize the State of Israel" with a subheading "negotiations underway for the factions to recognize each other and establish official peaceful relations" would really be something worthy of waking up @Dan.

Colloquially, peace in the Middle East = Israel and the Arabs/Muslims tolerating each other instead of killing each other. Not trying to be scientific here.

There have long been direct flights buses between Williamsburg and KJ, so we're off to a good start.

But does it count as visiting Israel if you don't daven at the Kotel?

Well, there's even a certain Shul in KJ where I observed a unique phenomenon (had a very hard time finding a צדקה פושקע where I could put something in before davening Mincha), and when I tried inquiring about it, I understood that it belongs to a certain faction that is a minority in KJ.

Can anyone explain why people who normally use regular ashkenaz havarah still call it the Kotel (or use the name Batsheva etc.)?

Weird. What's the reason for it? Plenty of neutral organization pushkas line up all the walls usually.

For fear of being branded "yeshivish." Koisel is very yeshivish sounding...
