More importantly, no beer being served at the games.
Why "More importantly"?

Or are you just being sarcastic?

I see.

At least with banning beer they are being consistent across the board, as opposed to banning prayer and Kosher food which is singling out Jewish people exclusively.

Also, Kosher food is more important to a Jew than beer is to a soccer fan (I hope).

I guess you're saying it's quantity over quality which defines importance.

No, you are looking at it from a Jewish perspective which is very very small percentage of the fans.

I would normally agree about singling out Jewish people, but they are singling out so many groups I lost track.

An adverse effect, not in the gist of this thread.

Last time it affected it in a very positive way, and there's reason to think (is reason still a thing these days?) that it would influence more peace deals than not again.

What do you mean by last time, last time when Bibi was in charge? Wasn't it due to having Kushner in the WH?

That, too. But once the others joined, it got it going (hopefully).

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/a-new-foreign-policy-headache-for-biden-as-israel-forms-its-most-right-wing-government-ever/ar-AA14xZZv?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=51afd588b9e04eb7acf8fd3d7df3e90b

Let me present an edited version of the second paragraph to put things into perspective with reality:

Quote
The new government will be led by Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s longest serving prime minister, who was ousted from the job failed to form a coalition government, just a year ago after Naftali Bennett who campaigned as a party that would partner with Netanyahu and will keep Netanyahu from conceding to left wing demands, reneged on all his campaign promises and joined Yair Lapid in his quest to overthrow Netanyahu, in exchange for a one year stint as Prime Minister. Needless to say, in the most recent election Naftali Bennett and his party disintegrated into oblivion, with two of his party members joining Netanyahu's Likud party, one joining Gideon Sa'ar's party which in turn joined Benny Gantz's party in order to avoid being left below the threshold, and the rest being totally left out and is on trial for corruption. In an interesting twist, said trial which seemed to have a negative effect on Netanyahu in previous rounds, actually worked in Netanyahu's favor in the most recent round. While his haters still scream that a person on trial for corruption should not serve as prime minister, it has become evident to many that the indictment was just a way to topple Netanyahu using alternative means after failing to do so at the ballot based on ideology and performance. Amazingly, after having already called 29 prosecution (out of a list of more than 300) witnesses, Netanyahu's defense team can proudly say that the sworn testimonies of ALL 29 prosecution witnesses called so far actually support the stand of the defense. The prosecution even had a slip of the tongue in saying that they don't believe all their witnesses and might not call up some of them, however by keeping them on the prosecution witness list the defense team cannot interview them until after the prosecution rests its case. Furthermore, serious questions as to the way the prosecution put together its case, from the start of the investigation not being properly authorized as required by law, through illegally using spyware on phones, torturing witnesses, etc. added to the popular view that the indictment is nothing but the "deep state" trying to topple a popular and capable leader, after being unsuccessful at the ballots. To regain the position, Netanyahu formed an alliance with controversial political figures known for their extreme anti-Arabappeasement views, likely dooming any peace deal with Palestinians which would be based on appeasement tactics that have failed for many decades and rather give a chance to true peace based on the paradigm used for the Abraham accords.
