I use Google's built in password manager, as well as as their built in password generator to create secure passwords.
(also samsung pass for apps)
So you're basically using your Gmail account to log into any site wherever you are, with any computer?

That means practically 50%+ Logins.
 Not really happening.
It's nearly a sure thing that they will try to use your login to hack other sites.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Yes but I don't log my email into random computers (it's the only secure long password i have to remember)
Generally speaking all my computers sync with chrome and I use my phone to check any password I need.

Yikes, that's no good.
Wonder what happened to @bznt , you notice any unusual activity on your cc or accounts?

I guess I can change any credit card logins or Banking info with that passcode.
But then again that means I would have to change walgreens.com, rite aid, and many simple site that has my credit card info stored.

When it comes to shady site's, I use a garbage password. But the header turned me off into thinking it's a legitimate site.

What's the whole https on a site if my passwords and CC info is not safe?

Basically it only means something if the site is a secure site?
What stops the admins at Dansdeals forum from viewing my login credentials and using it at other sites?
Or does the https encrypt such sensitive information?

https secures the information along the way from outside attackers, but if you securely give a hacker you cc it won't get you too far;)
It's like using insured mail ans sending to the wrong address.

Gotcha ya.

But you can have a crook at any given site even the sites you think you trust.

You gotta trust the company you buy from, the better sites hopefully don't let humans see it. some companies (heard from a worker) jot down your SSN on notepads that barely get thrown out..
That's also the advantages of sites made with shopify and the like.

Something interesting happened last week but I don’t think it’s related because the little tikes story was / is over a month ago

Last week my email inbox got bombarded with emails , someone used my email address and probably setup a bot to sign me up to all kind is newsletters even Chinese, Russian , German and UK companies.
The same time one of the emails were from Apple.com letting me know about a order I placed. I ignored it because I know I did not make that order. But the next day I got a text message from Apple letting me know that a order has shipped, so I logged into Apple and yes there was a order with my name for a iPhone 11. Shipped to my name but a address in NYC. I checked my credit card and yes it was charged.
I called Apple told them to call ups to retract the order , I called ups with the same. I called my bank and got a new card and I changed my Apple password
Someone told me that this email spamming is a tactic so I should not see the real email from Apple or any other thing thy try to do.
I go through every email and unsubscribe or I reply to unsubscribe. I hope to be done with this soon

So you're basically using your Gmail account to log into any site wherever you are, with any computer?
I just came up with a hack to remember passwords:

Use the same basic password for all sites, but insert the first letter or two of the site name into the password. For example:

Base password: Yitz5!
DDF password: DDYitz5! or Yitz5!DD
Amazon password: AMYitz5! or Yitz5!AM

This way you can have a diverse set of passwords that you will always remember.

I already have thousands of spam and garbage emails. So that doesn't concern me.

People placing orders using my info is a problem.

The problem is that these are not going to the spam folder because they are from legit companies. It’s just that I did not signup for them.

Now I appreciate all the companies who require you to confirm your email , all those email I am not confirming and I will be removed automatically after a few days.

Not a secure idea.
Better use a random password generator in collaboration with a password manager (such as made by google) for more secure and mostly faster experience.

Just on a side note: replying to or clicking a link in a email will verify that the email is legit, and can be used to your disadvantage.
Great tutorial

Neat feature.
