Covid-19 Surcharges
« on: August 19, 2020, 01:29:21 PM »
I'll start. My dentist is charging an extra $30.00 per visit for extra sanitizing and PPE. Methinks it's a bit much!

My dentist is closed...
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

No fee for me in July. But they used a different (& seemingly less effective) cleaning technique to avoid aerosolization.
Risk is opportunity

It seems that 30 is on the high end from what I've seen on my searches.

Our pediatrician was charging a $50 (not submittable to insurance) booking fee for scheduling asymptomatic Covid tests.

That sounds like gouging, or even worse, like capitalizing off the situation.

Many schools are requiring tests for students to return and the only way that you can get one if asymptomatic is with a Dr's order. This gatekeeper function is not something an insurance carrier would pay for, but that does not mean the doctor doesn't want to be paid for the service :-(

We did it at urgent care
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.
