NY-NJ Day Trips Master Thread
« on: August 20, 2020, 04:47:31 PM »
There are day-trip/activities scattered in the Lakewood, Brooklyn, Monsey etc. threads. Being as they are usually doable day-trips from many different communities, I figured it would be helpful to have them all in one place:

Delaware water gap national recreation area. Beautiful scenery and some nice hiking. The bottom of it is on the I-80 at the border between NJ and PA

This thread has the potential to become the Chol Hamoed "where are we going today" go to thread.

When they'll reopen, there's American dream mall, with indoor skiing, happens to be amazing, theme park, and water park.
They also have a skating rink.
But entire thing is closed until the unforseeable future.

Anybody have a suggestion where I can take my kids today, within an hour or so from Lakewood, that is not shut from Covid and won't be packed with vacationers? Keep my mind that I have to be back for hadlakah, so no night-only venues. Kids are young, 6 and under.
