A Williamsburg Hatzalah member told me today that he tested positive for covid now, although he's pretty sure he had covid in March. However, he never tested at the time for covid and antibodies.

I don't know, but what difference would it make how he caught it.

On a related note, a BP Hatzalah member told me today that most who just thought they had it in March didn't actually have it confirmed at the time, and most likely just got it now if infected.

I can't speak for Williamsburg specifically but in Toronto most Hatzalah calls are Covid related, and Covid prevalence is ~1/4 of NY

I misunderstood your question as to trying to identify the source of infection. Hatzalah can't transport patients in TO.

He isn't sure. He was just told he is positive for antibodies. didn't ask for a number..

I am surprised ppl here still believe this is rare hearing from others in shul many have gotten covid again.
symptoms are different he bh recovered but still cant fully taste other than that he is fine

+1. I have family members who had it twice as well. It is still true the odds of reinfection are much lower than the first time

He’s probably right, but how does he know the foreign strain is all over Lakewood? Who’s sequencing?

It’s bad news if it is. The British variant spreaders much faster and specifically in kids/schools

I believe there has been some (limited) sequencing but not sure
