My son flew Air France from JFK to TLV, arriving in TLV on Wednesday Aug 19. His baggage was lost. He saw in the airport, and I heard through the grapevine, that this happened to many many travelers on that flight.
Air France customer service has been horrible. Some agents at least tried to be more helpful than others, but none of them has been actually empowered to help us through this process.
All AF knows at this point is that they flew the baggage to TLV on Saturday Aug 22 and handed it to delivery agent - Laufer GHI. My son did get a SMS text from Laufer on Sunday saying that they were in possession, but there's been no further communication, and there is no way to contact them.
Anyone else here in the same situation? What's been your experience so far? Any tips on how to get the luggage back, or at least find out when it's expected?
