Kahlua from Spain (not mexico) is Kosher.
Also Cointreau from France is kosher.

A Rav once told me that if people would have been invited at a wedding, where a thousand portions of soup are being served, and word got out that in one of the bowls the cook might have dropped some poison, no one would touch the food.

When talking about kashrus, if someone has heard from his third cousin twice removed, who heard from his friend who's uncle dreamed that it should be okay, people often rely on it...

in the 2009 kashrus book put out by the london bais din it says that if Kahlua is not made in the usa it is kosher

All Kahlua is made in Mexico. It is a Mexican product, they do not make it in Spain, the USA or anywhere else. The factory in Mexico is not kosher, so even if it is bottled in Spain or the USA it is still not kosher.
Starbucks is better anyway and that is OU

actually r eidlitz just told me that the kahlua i bought in tijuana 1.5 years ago is good, because it started to be a problem a year ago!

i heard the same thing - the problem is a new thing - keep the bottle a few years and sell it on ebay

I came across a sealed bottle in my in-laws liquor chest. My wife tells me that its at least 5 years old. This is the second bottle I found there. The 1st one had a Hechsher, this one does not.

CRC doesn't rely on it. There are no markings on the bottle. I did once hear that there's a way to tell from the bar-code on the bottle. I also read online that OU seemed to have some politics as to why the got fired/left Kahlua.

Either way, anyone with any info? And if it is kosher, any $$ offers for a sealed bottle?
