2 of my daughters have them and I haven't heard any complaints
When i used it it felt like the touchscreen was a bit off and the interface looked... ugly. The music-playing-capabilities were fine, i just didnt see any reason to get it over the sandisk.
Does the sandisk have Bluetooth?
if you specifically want bluetooth I ordered a couple of these for other ppl and they have been happy16GB Clip MP3 Player with Bluetooth 4.0, AGPTEK A50S Lossless Sound Music Player with Armband for Sports, Supports FM Radio Voice Recording and 128GB Expanding, Black ($29.99)there are probably others out there also
Best MP3 player options with no radio these days?
Is a touch screen a pro or con for you? Need Bluetooth? How about built-in speaker? SD card slot?
Don't think any of that matters, though bluetooth would be nice. Could also be added by adapter though I assume?
I have a tricky set of requirements: I need a MP3 which cannot display any videos, user images or even album art (in fact text only or monochrome display is fine) but has bluetooth. I've searched high and low but not yet found ...
You can, but there are enough models with Bluetooth.Greentouch and Samvix are the two kosher companies with good devices (there are devices in every type and price range). There is also one from SanDisk (https://www.ebay.com/itm/272457571643?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=AR57-fAT0XaHQ1CnCu5nZqaR_qTDrhoJYazrOoYCSUak4ut9IKyWk7uBuuk) that I find much more durable, as well as some good devices from Fiio (but they're mostly out of stock now.)
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
Thanks for this. When you say "every price range" - is the lowest ~$60? or am I looking in the wrong places?
Is there an easy way to disable FM radio on other players?
to be physically disabling the chip/antenna you need to know the exact thing to do, and I'm not aware of good guides to do this (for any current devices.)
I was planning to do this on the Samvix lookalike linked above (from DODOSOUL), and I even found a video showing exactly which part of the motherboard is the FM controller, but I was not able to get the device open. It baffles me how it can be opened, and I think that it must have been glued shut, because there are no places that look like openings...
(and can possibly be separated with a heat gun etc )
would a cheap bluetooth transmitter work for you?
