can u get bounus ur points if u pay with a different cc other than chase ? from ur words it seems tht u do get the bonus ur points even by checking out w an amex card ? can you confirm this

I believe it states that you must use an Ultimate Rewards linked card but from experience I know it works with any CC. YMMV

Some stores report back to the shopping portal that the item was retuned. It has nothing to do with what CC you used in this case.

This happens at many stores as I have tried to explain in past posts. It is trial and error but you will be amazed at what’s out there. Also don't always believe them when it says you don't earn rewards on GC purchases!

The point I was making is when the store reports back the item was returned they will take back the UR points no matter what CC/debit/cash it was returned to.

My point was that when using a chase cc its not necessary for the store to report back bec chase will know about it either way.

So even if its a store that doesn't report,  chade will know about and deduct the points.  CMIIW

On buy.com there usually is 5 extra points per $ also at staples.com 5 extra

I often have my card maxed out - with only the $5k credit limit, and I pay a few times per month, but they dont let more than $5k in pending charges (unlike Amex)

So I really would wanna use different cards with UR

Definitely will. It usually takes a few months for the bonus points to post,  so don't expect to be hearing back anytime soon.

You can use my sapphire card in your UR mall. I will get the base points and you will the bonus points.  How does that sound

By the way, I think that the following works - if you buy a gift card from best buy, and then use it to make a purchase through UR Mall, you still get the UR Mall bonus points.
