I tried this a few weeks ago. I didn't check my statement but I don't think its gets you any bonus points.

The reason why I think it doesn't get you any bonus points is bec when paying with a gc it makes the order total "$0" and usually you don't get points on a $0 purchase.

oh well. I think it still comes out cheaper than amazon even with tax

I have used gift cards to purchase from Dell thru UR and got points for it.

Even though I used a gift card UR picked up the full $ amount of my order

by dell it says in the t&c that redeeming gift cards are eligible for bonus points as opposed to b&n where it says it's not

In general Chase UR mall has been extra generous with bonus points IME, though I don't remember the particulars I remember getting points for the pre-coupon total when using a coupon (don't remember which merchant).

Sorry I didn't your post, I only skimmed through it. I didn't realize you were asking about a specific store.  I did this with best buy.

So does anyone know if you use a gift card to buy things on b&n through the ur mall if you still get the bonus points? It says officially you don't. But if you do, 10X points plus 12% off giftcards at plastic jungle would really add up

edit: actually would first buy the gift card from the ur mall at 10X then use the gift card to buy the books. i'm assuming that would be too good to be true

With some stores (e.g. bb) you can buy a gc with a gc, so if this is true. . . .

And then use that GC to buy a BB GC  :)

I actually dont think they are being nice about it - I think their system is a little messed up ... I had a few purchases that they didnt pick up.
I also got once pre-coupon points ... I just there are flaws in their system, for the same reason some times it works to pay with a different CC

I think we should make a list of the sites people used different CC to pay, and they got their points

If I purchased something through UR --> Staples should it show up on my UR Orders and Reservations page? As of now it's not there.

It takes a few days. I have called Chase a few times about this and they said you have to wait 6-8 weeks

It's weird because that was probably 2 weeks ago when I made the purchase. But then only yesterday I booked a flight through UR and it is already on my list of transactions.

I bought from Lands End with a GC. I haven't seen my statement yet but I received an email stating I would get the points (for the full purchase amount).

Title says it all.

unless you were following the other thread the title is actually very unclear. You mention nothing about the ur mall or chase cc
