Hyatt points vs paying
« on: December 02, 2011, 11:28:06 AM »
I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to use 27,000 hyatt points for a room that I can book for $290.  I think the points are worth more but this time of year it's hard to get an award room.

Also, are hyatt points transferrable and can they be sold?  if they can is anyone interested?

Not worth using the points nor is it ever hard to an award room unless the hotel is sold out.
Points are transferable with some headache involved but you can't sell them on DDF.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I tried to book a room on Saturday where the rate was over $600 but they said no award rooms were available so I tried Monday where there was availability but the rates are only $290.   I remember a post before that valued the points around 1.5 which would make it roughly $400.

Are there any sites that I can sell the points or trade them?

Thank you in advance
