Chase purchase protection

I had a few Amazon packages stolen from the entrance room to my house. One of the items was a phone. Wondering if anyone has experience using chase purchase protection for stolen packages (bought on my chase freedom).
 I know the items arrived because we saw them already but didn't have a chance to bring them in.

On what basis am I asking them to cover it.
