One thing I can think of that might not be a hack, but I didn't realize until a couple months of using the phone. When not in any menu, you can press a few numbers to start searching for a contact, either searching by the number, or by the name of the contact. (It's hard to explain but makes a lot of sense after you try it).

Could be you can get the Message+ app installed on it (after apk modification) but I doubt it will work, as the phone is missing the core Verizon system apps like Verizon Cloud, MyVerizonServices, etc

  Tried going through all the settings to see if there was an option for that, but saw nothing .

This was the best when you were able to stack 16,000 points plus the Amazon deal with $20.

 Now only one code will work, should get you 8,000 points, enough for 3 months free and then with Amazon Another $20 if you buy it from Amazon. ( Really $15 as the service can be gotten for $15 with Auto pay for the first two months from Tracfone directly, and then after 5-6 months go to the eBay net10 plan.

 Wrote up a bit back when everything stacked. But basic idea can be found here.

Very useful but basic feature actually, been having that on the old 3G's too.
